Chapter 248: Sir, Please Pick Up Your Child

Lucas Knox raised his little chin,

"Uncle, I'm over a meter tall, so I'm not a kid anymore. I don't need to be carried."

Edward Harper respected her wishes,

"Alright then, but you have to stay close to me, okay?"

"No problem."

The two were pushed forward by the crowd from behind, with Edward Harper shielding Lucas Knox in front of him, protecting him from getting jostled by others.

As they neared the ticket check, the line suddenly thickened, becoming quite crowded.

A security guard, noticing the larger and smaller figures, couldn't help but remind them,

"Sir, please pick up your child to avoid them getting lost or stepped on."

For some reason, Edward felt a warm sensation in his heart upon hearing this. Looking at the clean and fair little girl, he thought that if it weren't for that car accident four years ago, his child would be about her age.

He was someone who had lost a child.
