Chapter 279: Not Qualified

"Director Harper, should we bid on that land in the south of the city?"

Edward Harper barely considered,

"Bid, why not?"

Oliver Knox had his eye on that land, and no matter what, Edward had to win it. As for what to do with it, that was a later consideration. The main thing was to give that scumbag who abandoned his wife and child some trouble. After all, who said he could come to the Harper Clan and stir things up for no reason? The Harper Clan wasn't easily provoked by just anyone.

He hung up the phone.

Edward Harper went down to the first floor. The voice speaking at the reception sounded familiar, and when he turned his head to look, sure enough, it was her.

Clara Knox was there with a man who looked a bit older than her, competing to pay the bill. In the tug of war, the receptionist girl took the man's card.

Edward Harper stopped in his tracks, standing from afar, assessing the man.

One had to admit that a man understood another man.
