She calmed down, realizing there was no escape. Unfamiliar with the place, she didn't even know where the stairway was, so fleeing seemed impossible.

Clara casually placed the water bottle on the table,

"Here's your water, my task is accomplished, now I need to go down and get a new clue."

Julian Harper had already turned around, his face obscured by the backlight of the moon, invisible to Clara.

"Clara, I have something to discuss with you, don't be in a hurry to leave."

Clara, holding her cell phone at the ready to make a call, watched Julian approaching step by step. The closer he got, the more furiously her heart pounded.

"Uncle Julian, whatever it is, let's talk tomorrow, I just remembered I left my bag downstairs, it contains quite a few valuables, I need to go down and get it."
