Chapter 396 Investigation of the Truth

Edward Harper took the opportunity to fish for praise,

"Just one compliment?"

"What else? Even if I wanted to reward you with something else, you're not here."

Edward wished he could teleport to her side, curious about what kind of reward this woman had in mind. Knowing her, at most he'd get a kiss.

"Clara, two days."

He was counting down the days on his fingers. Aside from eating and sleeping, he had been frantically handling his workload, desperate to finish everything so he could fly over to her.

Clara Knox teased him through the screen,

"Director Harper, no need to rush. The flights aren't going to be canceled. You should tie up the company matters before coming over. How could a CEO abandon the company and run off? Don't you agree? Work comes first."

The latter part of her sentence carried an unmistakable touch of sarcasm for Edward.
