After dinner, Max Knox pulled the old man over to the sofa.
"Great-grandpa, I have a gift for you."
Lucas Knox grabbed his little bag and chimed in,
"Great-grandpa, I also have a gift prepared for you."
The old man raised an intrigued eyebrow, filled with anticipation. He was curious about what kind of gifts these two little kids under five could prepare for him.
"Quickly, take them out and show me."
Lucas Knox presented a drawing he had made. In it were dad, mom, his brother, himself, and great-grandpa. Though the drawing lacked precision and the strokes were evidently childlike, it didn't diminish the meaning the picture aimed to convey.
"Great-grandpa, this is our family. I originally wanted to make you look more handsome, but I haven't learned how yet. Next time I'll draw you better—I swear you'll be the most handsome great-grandpa in the world!"
