Clara Knox didn't get a chance to speak before Nicholas Sutton continued the conversation,
"Clara rarely visits the company, so isn't it a good opportunity for her to have a casual dinner with everyone to foster relationships?"
Edward Harper raised his eyebrows and asked,
"You think having dinner is the way to build relationships?"
He's been running the company for years and knows how to manage his subordinates. Employees care most about their incomes. When everything is done well, holding a bonus in their hand is better than anything else.
After all, nobody really cares about that dinner, dining with the boss only makes people uneasy and unable to relax.
"It's not just about fostering relationships. Some work matters are easier to discuss at a dinner meeting, after all, we've talked about new partners, and maintaining various relationships is essential for the company's operations."
Nicholas Sutton's words seemed sensible to Edward Harper, who then suggested to Clara,
