Chapter 27: Couldn't Be Worse

Jennings Family Villa.

After seeing off the Silva couple, Auntie Jennings mentioned the dinner that was originally planned for tomorrow.

That dinner was specially arranged for Scarlett's return home, to formally introduce her to the people in their circle.

Now that she has run off, it's uncertain whether the dinner tomorrow can still be held.

Everyone silently turned their gaze toward Grandfather Jennings, hoping he would make a decision.

Grandfather Jennings just squinted his eyes slightly, then spoke,

"The dinner will proceed as usual."

He then looked towards Lucas and the younger ones, "You guys, personally go tomorrow and coax your sister back. If Scarlett isn't coaxed back, you don't need to return either."

Upon hearing this, Lucas and the others widened their eyes in disbelief, unable to believe that Grandpa could say such a thing.

Could Scarlett, a granddaughter he had only met a few times, be more important than his three eldest grandsons?
