Chapter 53: I Heard You Want to See Me?

Scarlett Jennings looked at Delilah Woods, her gaze was clear and deep, but her voice held no warmth,

"Resentful spirits carrying grievances and intent on doing harm can only be eliminated."

Hearing the last two words, Delilah Woods seemed to shudder violently, and her mother quickly embraced her.

"Delilah, this child is not meant to be with you, let alone it almost harmed you. I know saying this is cruel, but to me, you are the most important one."

Delilah's mother understood a mother's feelings all too well.

But to her, a child she had never even met could not compare to her child whom she had raised with great effort.

Delilah Woods, feeling her mother's slightly trembling embrace, just closed her eyes.

She didn't have deep feelings for this child. In truth, it was not so.

This child was a mistake from the start, and even without the classroom incident, she might have found a way to abort it.

Perhaps that was where the child's resentment arose from.
