Despite the previous experience of "seeing a ghost," being suddenly confronted with a dead man still sent a shock of stillness through Lydia Patterson's veins.
The old man in traditional attire, however, seemed oblivious as he drifted happily beside his eldest grandson, bobbing up and down contentedly,
"I heard your mother bragging to her lady friends again today. You are worthy of being my eldest grandson, getting into Capital University on your own merit—that's the way! You shouldn't listen to your father talking about studying abroad, our domestic top institutions are no worse than those foreign schools…"
Lydia Patterson's brow twitched; the old man before her seemed slightly different from the strict grandfather of the past.
Before she could gather her thoughts, she saw two old ladies floating over. If she remembered correctly, one of them appeared to be her great grandmother?
She watched as her great grandmother immediately brushed the old man aside.
