Ismeria Jennings instinctively looked up, but Scarlett Jennings had already withdrawn her hand.
"You have to listen to adults, but don't listen to everything they say. Learn to judge right from wrong for yourself."
Scarlett's voice was calm. Ismeria looked at her, her expression somewhat puzzled, as if she understood but also did not.
Scarlett didn't care whether she understood or not and turned around to call the little fox to come and play.
However, as soon as she took a step, someone suddenly tugged at her dress from behind.
Ismeria looked up, her expression a bit aggrieved and dissatisfied,
"Do you, do you dislike me?"
Scarlett didn't know where she got this idea, but looking at the little girl in front of her, she didn't deny it outright and after a moment, lightly questioned back,
"Weren't you the one who disliked me first?"
Ismeria was stunned, recalling something, her face flushed,
"How—how can you hold a grudge?! I already apologized to you!"
