Chapter 290: Compensation for Emotional Distress

Wen Ran had already answered.

But Fu Chenlie did not seem willing to let the matter rest.

He leaned in, his handsome and imposing face growing larger and larger before her eyes, his gaze deepening as he examined her, his voice even lower, "Mrs. Fu, had you ever been in love before?"

Wen Ran looked into the depths of his eyes and shook her head, "No."

"Really?"

"Mhm."

He curved his lips, seemingly pleased, "So, still very 'clean'?"

Wen Ran's face changed slightly, not wanting to answer this somewhat vulgar question.

She took a step back, "It's getting late, I'm a bit tired, and I want to go back to my room to sleep."

The man glanced at his watch, "Seven o'clock in the evening, it's early. It's not time to sleep. Plus, you haven't eaten dinner since you got back, aren't you hungry?"

"Not hungry." She actually was a bit, but she didn't want to cook.

Unfortunately, Fu Chenlie didn't understand her, or rather, didn't care, blatantly revealing his own desires, "But I am hungry."
