Jian Si opened the front door and stood frozen as she saw the scene inside, then she burst into laughter with a 'pfft.'
Su Wan was hiding under the dining table, her fair little face covered in every color of marker.
Her body was full of paintball gun marks, not a spot left untouched.
Messy and dirtied, she looked like a famine-stricken refugee.
The once bright and spirited eyes now dull, reflecting complete despair.
This was Jian Si's first time seeing Su Wan like this. She didn't want to laugh, but she couldn't help it and doubled over in laughter, clutching her stomach in pain.
Looking like she was nearly driven mad by the two little ones, Su Wan ran over and embraced Jian Si's arm, sobbing loudly.
"Wuwu, you're finally back. If you didn't return, I'd be gone forever."
Jian Si teased, "Didn't you say you missed them? This is great, giving you more time to play with them."
