He leaned over, sat Serena Summers up from the bed, picked up her shoes from the floor, grasped her slender, fair ankle, and slipped the shoes on her.

"There, step down now."

Serena Summers wiggled her little feet, pouting dissatisfiedly, "Carry me."

The delicate pink slippers on her feet accentuated her skin, making it appear even more like creamy, delicate, snow-white porcelain. Her toes were round and plump, and her nails were clear and transparent, exquisite and beautiful like flawless jade.

Adrian Holt's gaze fell on her little feet, his eyes deepening, his Adam's apple involuntarily swallowing as he muttered "spoiled," yet he resignedly picked her up from the bed and walked downstairs.

In the dining room downstairs, Edward Selwyn and Vincent Carter were already sitting at the dining table, and the servants were serving the food.
