"Meili's at Charm?"
The man's voice was deep over the phone, and even through the static, his simmering anger was palpable.
"Uh-huh!"
Nangong Li pulled out a cigarette, "What's the matter? Don't like the sound of that? She's not married to you yet, can't you mind your own business?"
The beeping tone sounded—the call had been hung up.
Nangong Li glanced at the disconnected call and chuckled softly, "Such a temper. Geez, it's exhausting to have a brother with such strong possessiveness. Alright, I'll play the good guy through and through, go check on my future sister-in-law and see where she's gotten to now."
Downstairs, there was chaos.
When Nangong Li descended, he saw the scene of Lin Qian running out hurriedly with several security personnel.
Her face looked panicked, supporting a man on a security guard's back with one hand, faint tear stains still visible on her face.
