Chapter 13: I Hold You

A chaotic atmosphere.

After the calm, the woman in the hospital bed received an injection and was finally able to sleep soundly.

James Thompson, having done a good deed, went to wash his hands.

He looked at his slender fingers and silently chuckled.

Julia Land slowly opened her eyes and smelled the disinfectant of the hospital.

She heard a man lowering his voice to speak.

Once she collected herself, she turned her head and saw a man quietly making a phone call by the window not far away.

His voice was extremely hoarse, but what he discussed carried a hint of coldness, "Make sure he spends his life in prison."

Trevor Sullivan laughed on the other end of the phone, "James Thompson, you're actually getting angry over a woman. That's not like you."

"Possessed by a ghost," James said lazily, his words tinged with sarcasm, "I should find a high monk to chant some scriptures someday."

"Sure, I'll handle it!" Trevor declared enthusiastically.
