The bodyguard frowned and said to Julia Land on the phone, "This morning at six o'clock, Miss Langston and her mother went home to make soup."
"We were all waiting downstairs, and around seven, we didn't see them come down. We estimated the time it takes to make soup and then called to ask what was going on."
The bodyguard was very alert.
They were just at home, and then they vanished.
"We assume they're still in some room in this building, so we've called the police."
As a bodyguard, you can't just search other people's homes without a good reason.
Although one usually waits twenty-four hours before reporting a disappearance, the police will still take a case when personal safety is involved.
But while waiting for a house-to-house search, something might have happened to Austin Langston.
There are a total of thirty-six homes in the building.
