Chapter 149: All Jittery

Just as James Thompson was about to kiss her,

Julia Land pretended to cough and turned her head away.

Although she was ready to admit she had paranoid delusions, something felt off.

Logically, if she saw James Thompson alive, she should have passionately kissed him.

"Damn, in this hot weather, am I getting a cold?" Julia Land frowned and sniffed.

James Thompson looked at her deeply, pained by how she not only lost weight but also looked very unwell, "Little Pear, don't forget, I'm a doctor. I'll take you to the hospital for a check-up tomorrow."

"Tomorrow won't work, let's pick another day. I'm going to a friend's birthday celebration tomorrow," Julia lowered her eyes and explained.

In reality, she had an appointment with a psychologist in the morning, then she was going to attend Lily Grant's birthday celebration at Alexander Strong's house in the afternoon.

James Thompson frowned, clearly disapproving, "Do you really have to go? You look really pale."
