Facing Chloe Sullivan's apology,
Julia Land accepted it calmly before speaking in a bland tone, "Oh, really? You two were together before? Are you sure?"
Chloe Sullivan frowned, "Miss Land, you... never mind, I can't help it if you don't believe me."
Upon hearing this, Julia couldn't help but find it amusing. She chuckled lightly, reclined on the couch, and lazily stroked her belly, saying airily, "Oh, then never mind. I don't believe it."
Chloe didn't expect Julia to deviate from the norm. She seemed not to be angry?
"Miss Sullivan, I did hear from Mr. Thompson in my family that the child in your belly belongs to Madeline," Julia said, her words also laced with probing.
"I actually broke up with Madeline long ago," Chloe admitted with an embarrassed smile, "Whether or not the child is Brother Thompson's, the hundred-day celebration will make everything clear."
