Madame Bell dialed Julia Land's number, "Julia, come home for dinner tonight, and we can also discuss tomorrow's banquet."
Julia looked at James Thompson, who was sitting on the sofa waiting for her to get off work, and gave Mr. Thompson an apologetic glance, "Alright, I'll come over around six."
After hanging up the phone, Julia deliberately blinked at the man.
James raised an eyebrow slightly, "Miss Land, don't speak, I don't want to listen."
They had originally planned to have a candlelit dinner for two tonight.
Julia stood up, walked over to James, rested her hands on the arms of the sofa, and leaned in close to him.
A forceful gesture of a woman teasing a man.
She smiled with an apology, "Madame Bell said tonight we need to discuss the banquet for tomorrow, I'm sorry, Mr. Thompson."
A trace of helplessness flickered through James's deep eyes, and he still kept his face straight, "It took so much to finally get a candlelit dinner, is it easy for me?"
