Dale Land noticed the suspicious glance Tara Young gave her for just a split second.
She maintained her smile.
Tara Young's grandmother, upon learning that the two of them knew each other, laughed and said, "You're quite an interesting girl, and you're pretty, too. Next time, let's dance together again."
When Dale Land heard the elderly lady complimenting her looks, she almost couldn't keep up her smile.
Even her own parents were too embarrassed to compliment her appearance.
Perhaps because the elderly lady's physique was similar to hers, the two of them found some mutual understanding, which might be why she thought she looked good.
Embarrassed, Dale Land also complimented, "You look great as well."
James Fitzgerald stifled his laughter, while Tara Young acted as if he hadn't heard the awkward exchange between his grandmother and Dale Land.
"Grandma, I'll get going now," Dale Land said with a smile, waving her hand and preparing to leave.
