Henry paused for a moment in silence at the sudden invitation from the woman on the other end of the phone, then chuckled lightly, "Miss, I have work tomorrow. If you're asking me out for a drink, is there something special you need to discuss?"
Eleanor Thompson's laughter came through the phone, carrying a tinge of sweetness. "Mr. Henry, don't be so guarded. My name is Eleanor Thompson. I just wanted to talk to you about Carson Dunn, share a drink, and unwind a bit. How does that sound?"
Henry suddenly understood—the woman was yet another admirer of Carson.
He laughed and said, "Miss Thompson, Carson already has a girlfriend. You might as well save yourself the trouble."
Eleanor chuckled softly, her tone growing gentler. "I just want to understand the situation between them so I can let go. Mr. Henry, please don't tell them I've approached you. Just give me a bit of grace. I'll be waiting for you at Sun Seeker Bar."
With that, she hung up.
"Hello…?" Henry called out.
