Qiu Shuai booked a Western restaurant and sent the location to Xi Wanfen.
The restaurant was quite upscale, with a high average cost per person.
She asked, "Why pick such an expensive place? Wouldn't some rice noodles be just as good?"
"Rice noodles make you fat," Qiu Shuai replied. "Here, the atmosphere is nice, and you don't eat enough to feel full—it's good for weight loss."
"I'm not even trying to lose weight."
"I'll give you my portion," Qiu Shuai said cheerfully.
Once they sat down, Xi Wanfen realized that Qiu Shuai had indeed lost a lot of weight.
"How much do you weigh now?" Xi Wanfen asked.
"180 pounds. I've already lost ten. You owe me the second figurine."
"Didn't I already give you one last time?"
"That one doesn't count. I got that one with my own skill," he said, grinning.
"That's cheating! You can't do that."
"That's just how I am."
Xi Wanfen replied, "The figurine's at home; I didn't bring it."
"Then I'll go back with you to get it."
"In your dreams."
