Yan Xi waited until Yu Siting had walked away before she set down the documents in her hand, her gaze lingering at the office door for quite some time. Her almond-shaped eyes faded in color, and then she lowered her head to resume her work.
After work,
she returned to the Yan Family home.
As soon as she entered the living room, she saw that the managers of some famous jewelry stores from Yun City were all standing inside the Yan Family's living room. They all held brocade boxes in their hands, containing jewelry designed especially for children.
They squatted on the ground with smiles on their faces, letting Xiao Yingyi choose. Mr. Yan sat on the sofa, his face sporting a helpless smile.
Yu Siting's hand rested on Xiao Yingyi's shoulder, pointing at a piece of jewelry inside one of the brocade boxes.
"Do you like this one?"
Xiao Yingyi nodded, her voice crisp as she responded, "I like it."
