With a smile on her face, Aunt Zhao appeared friendly, but the smile never reached her eyes. She hadn't liked Yan Xi before, and even now, her lowered stance was simply to ask something of Yan Xi.
"I'd like to talk to you about Wencheng."
Yan Xi walked to the door of her office, opened it, and said in an indifferent tone, "Let's discuss inside."
She had already guessed that Aunt Zhao wanted to learn about Gu Wenchen's situation.
After all, no matter what, Gu Wenchen was her grandson.
Aunt Zhao followed closely behind Yan Xi, entering the office and taking a seat in the chair across from Yan Xi's desk. Without pretense, she got straight to the point.
"Miss Yan, you and Wencheng are good friends, and his mother trusts you a lot. She's been pursuing a divorce case with my son recently, hiring a lawyer to gather asset information. Are you aware of this?"
Yan Xi's gaze remained calm as she looked at Aunt Zhao and gently shook her head.
"This is a family matter; I wasn't informed."
