Hugo Hayes nodded with lowered eyes, "Thank you, Granny."
"There's no need to thank me. You two have a good chat!" Mrs. Doyle looked very pleased as she got up and was about to cook noodles for Hugo Hayes.
Ellie Doyle, through gritted teeth, stopped Mrs. Doyle and stared daggers at Hugo Hayes, "I'll cook for you."
"Then I appreciate it, Ms. Doyle," Hugo Hayes agreed amiably with a nod, "I can't eat spicy, remember not to add chili peppers."
Ellie Doyle: "I know."
After calming Granny and getting her to sit back down, Ellie Doyle headed to the kitchen with a stern face.
In the living room,
Hugo Hayes pursed his lips and looked toward the two little ones who had been hiding at the staircase entrance ever since Ellie Doyle had come in, beckoning, "Come here."
Quinnie Doyle wore a stern face and didn't seem too interested in Hugo Hayes's arrival.
Still, she obediently went over as he had asked.
