Jack All Trades but master of none.

With Gildarts return, the guild was very lively for the next few days. Unlike in the future, where Gildarts would leave the guild for another mission the next day, Gildarts at the present knew his responsibilities very well.

He stayed in the guild and helped some of the members who were having trouble with their magics. Although Gildarts may not look like it, he was actually a very competent teacher. This is also one of the reasons why everyone in the guild loves him. I mean, if Makrov is the father, then Guildarts would be the cool uncle who would sponsor you for the mischief you cause.

Many of the newcomers and even veteran members use this opportunity to perfect their skills under Gildarts guidance. And this, of course, included Akira and Laxus.

Laxus is a genius who inherited his grandfather's enormous magic power. And what's more, the Dragon crystal that was inside his body is also nourishing his body continuously. So amongst all of the members in the guild, his endurance is said to be the best.

And there is Akira, the monster in human skin. With his dragon blood, his psyche and magic power are way better than any genius out there. And add to that his cheat-like unique skill that could be considered mind reading; he is a force to be reckoned with.

And Gildarts, who is facing this duo at the same time, can vouch for this. Under the seamless cooperation of those two, Gildarts was pushed to his limits while holding himself back. It can't be helped after all. Akira alone is troublesome, and add Laxus to the mix, and you get a nightmarish opponent.

Especially with Akira's mastery over illusions, which seems to get better every fight. With him disguising Laxus's position, Gildarts suffered serious damage more than once. Thankfully, they are not using any weapons. Or else Gildarts would have suffered some very nasty scars.

That kid under Akira's guidance knew exactly where to hit and bring out the most damage.

While Gildarts was suffering under the hands of two kids, Makarov was in a very good mood. He was very satisfied with Laxus and Akira, who are showing more of their talents. And what's more, due to the kids' enthusiasm, others also seemed to be motivated.

Although the destruction they caused was getting more and more absurd, it was still kept within the limit Makarov could tolerate. After all, unlike in the future, where guild members would destroy whole cities and many buildings altogether, the destruction these guys are doing is very tame.

" President I want to return these two books, " Sera said as she handed a book about enchantment magic and a book about magic tools to Makarov. She had borrowed this book to get an understanding of which enchantments were considered common in this era.

Since their aim was to set up a magic tool shop, it is very essential to understand the market thoroughly. They don't want to be the kind who sell something very expensive at a cheap price due to not knowing its true worth.

"Hmm," Makarov muttered, glancing at the two books in his hands. With a nod, he said, "Alright, take these to the library. I'll record them later."

"Thank you, Master," Sera replied with a polite bow before heading into the guild, her steps leading her toward the library to return the books.

Watching her retreating figure, Makarov let out a deep sigh and murmured to himself, "If only those blockheads in the guild could learn a thing or two from Sera and pick up a book once in a while."

"So, does this mean my library ban is finally over?" A cheeky voice came from behind Makarov, making him jump.

Turning around, Makarov saw Akira, casually filling his cup with orange juice, a playful grin plastered on his face.

"When did he—?" Makarov's thoughts trailed off as his eyes instinctively darted toward the far corner of the guild hall. There, he spotted Akira sitting with Laxus, Macao, and Wakaba, engrossed in a card game.

Frowning, Makarov's gaze flickered between the two Akiras, his mind racing to make sense of the situation. Finally, he focused on the one behind him and asked with suspicion, "Is this your real body?"

Akira's grin widened as he replied with a cryptic tone, "Who knows?"

"You cheeky brat," Makarov snorted, turning away with an air of feigned irritation.

Inwardly, however, he was stunned by the sheer progress Akira had made with his illusion magic. His illusions were so flawless that even Makarov himself couldn't distinguish between the two at a glance.

"That's right, praise me more, " Akira said as he was really embarrassed by all the praises Makarov was thinking.

Seeing him acting like this, Makarov decided to do the right thing. And that is to completely ignore Akira. This brat is getting more shameless with each passing day.

' I need to find who is the bad influence for this kid,' Makarov thought, but after gazing at the crowd full of drunkards, gamblers, and even perverts, he decisively gave up. No matter where he looked, he could only see people who could be called a bad influence on kids.

Seeing Makarov's face that was twitching, Akira really wanted to say that Makarov himself is the biggest bad influence in this guild. But thinking this might hurt the old man too much, he kept his silence.

" So anyway, president, can you lift my library ban already? I'm getting a bit bored these days, " Akira said, changing the subject.

Makarov thought about it and said, " Okay but you can't learn any more magic until you master your existing ones to a satisfactory level. "

" Okay okay, " Akira said as he walked towards the guild library. He needs to learn some daily magic spells, like dress-up and purification spells, for his future plans.

Yes, Akira completely ignored Makarov's warning. Although the old man may complain a little, he actually wouldn't mind Akira learning new magic.

As he always says, magic comes from the heart. For Akira to learn this much magic very quickly meant that his talent and love for magic were very high.

As a Guild president, Makarov couldn't bear to let such talents be crushed under his watch. And besides, Fairy Tail never forbids anyone from trying to learn something new.

The reason why Makarov kept this act was that he didn't want others to follow in Akira's footsteps. Akira may be talented enough to master all these magics, but others are not that lucky.

For an ordinary person, mastering one type of magic is already taxing enough. If everyone tried to learn multiple magics at once, then they would be half-baked magicians who are like Jack of all trades but masters of none.
