Huo Tingdong furrowed his brows and slowly stood up, walking over to Huo Yanlin and asked, "I really want to know what Ye Chan said to Han when she took him upstairs, something she shouldn't have said, causing Han to hide away by himself. I don't care what concept she wanted to express, but I do not wish for this to happen again."
Huo Yanlin defended Ye Chan, saying, "What do you think she could possibly say to Han? She's a grandmother too; even if she's not as emotionally invested in you, she still sees Han as her own flesh and blood, at least she bears no ill intentions."
Huo Tingdong said no more.
There were some barriers between him and Huo Yanlin. After all, Huo Yanlin spent very little time with him from childhood, and even as Huo Tingdong grew into an adult and established his own family, Huo Yanlin took on very little of the fatherly responsibilities.
Huo Tingdong didn't have much affection for him. The respect he felt was only because he was his father.
