Elder Qiao said sternly, "We'll talk about that later."
Qiao Rui's brow furrowed abruptly; her sole purpose was to obtain her brother's photo, yet Elder Qiao refused to produce it.
"How long is 'later'?" Qiao Rui pressed immediately.
"We'll talk once the Qiao Family crisis is over," said Elder Qiao coldly, "I'm not in the mood right now. If you can get the money to address our urgent need, you'd be helping to ease my worries. I have too many concerns at the moment."
"With all due respect, Grandfather has weathered many storms. Is this really such a big deal?" Qiao Rui's tone wasn't very pleasant, clearly emotional.
To her, it seemed Elder Qiao simply didn't want to show her the photo, using it as bait.
"We're on the verge of bankruptcy; of course, it's a serious matter," Elder Qiao continued gravely, "You've never considered yourself part of the Qiao Family, so you naturally wouldn't share my sorrow."
