"Heh, Xiao Jinghan, stop joking with me. There's already a child—how could it have nothing to do with you!" Ye Weiwei forced a smile that wasn't quite a smile, and slid her body sideways along the edge of the table to put more distance between herself and Xiao Jinghan.
Xiao Jinghan chuckled, amused by her defensive maneuver. Rubbing the sides of his nose, his gaze took on a hint of wickedness as he smiled with a trace of nonchalance. "Ye Weiwei, are you mad at me?"
Ye Weiwei rolled her eyes. "No, why would I be mad over something that has nothing to do with me?"
"When you're plotting against me, you call me Mr. Xiao. But when you're angry, you say 'Xiao Jinghan.' Weiwei, is this really appropriate?" Xiao Jinghan stepped forward.
Ye Weiwei glared at him, lifting the spray bottle in her hand higher. "Xiao Jinghan, I've never plotted against you!"
"Oh? Should I present some evidence to prove it, hmm?" His tone carried a playful lilt, tinged with unmistakable flirtation.
