Chapter 51: Recalling the past, yearning turns to sorrow.

Hearing the words "pathetic" from Violet Don's mouth was undoubtedly a huge insult to Noah Bates. He stepped forward, yet unexpectedly, Violet Don stepped back twice, wearing a look that showed she had no desire to entangle with him further.

The disdain in her eyes had already spilled out from her eye sockets. Violet Don indifferently suggested that her brother needn't put up such a defensive front, as if the presence of Noah Bates and Jade River were of no consequence to her, as though their earlier insults were nothing but a trifling breeze.

She let out a light chuckle and gave Jade River a once-over, "How could a woman not even comparable to Amy Andrews vye with me?"

After speaking, she yanked Owen Don's wrist and walked forward, colliding with Noah Bates's shoulder in the process. Her manner was such that Noah Bates was actually forced to take two steps back, staring incredulously at the woman in front of him as anger surged in his heart.
