Chapter 123: Hatred in the Path, I Want You Dead!

Wayne Don smiled, a five-year-old child with the wisdom nearly of a sprite, "They've already taken me away, my mother must be in a bad way."

At that moment, Grayson Sutton had to admit that he'd actually lost to a child.

"Don't overthink it, your mother has someone with her now."

Grayson Sutton wanted to reassure him, but Wayne's eyes dimmed at once, "Is it Young Master Bates with her?"

He would no longer call him father; it was always Young Master Bates.

Grayson's heart chilled, then he said, "Yes."

He didn't know why he wanted to run away. When he saw Noah Bates so anxious waiting outside the operating room, he just wanted to escape.

He gave a self-deprecating smile and reached out to touch Wayne's face, "Let the adults take care of adult problems."

Wayne's gaze was deep. Clearly just a five-year-old child, but the look in his eyes seemed that of an adult. He said softly, "My mother won't want to see Young Master Bates. Uncle, can you stand in for me and keep her company?"
