Chapter 140: I love him so much, I can't bear to let him go.

Violet Don didn't expect to see Grayson Sutton's face when she woke up.

She thought she was hallucinating, but when she closed her eyes and opened them again, it was still Grayson Sutton's smirk—not quite laughing, not quite serious. The man raised an eyebrow with a wicked, roguish grin, dressed in a hoodie and ripped jeans, his long legs stretched out beneath the hospital bed, holding a pillow with that smile on his face.

That smile gave Violet the chills.

Grayson whistled, "Yo, you're awake?"

Just as Violet was about to speak, Grayson retracted his feet and stood up, leaning in close to study her face with his blue-green eyes, appraising her with malice, "You've got some big tricks, downing a bottle of Hennessy in five minutes."

Violet's complexion was still sickly. She said, "Is that any of your business?"

"It wasn't, previously," Grayson shrugged, "but now it is. I was the one who brought you to the hospital. Don't you think you should thank me?"
