Hazel Forest sat down with them to eat hot pot after brushing his teeth. He wasn't picky about food; he ate whatever was there, slowly savoring each bite. Violet Don thought Hazel Forest was an inherently slow-paced person, detached and unreachable, living in his own world. He slept during the day and worked at night, only reaching a god-like efficiency while working. Outside of work, all his time seemed to be consumed by slow proceedings.
Wayne Don ate a lot, his lips smeared with sauce. He excitedly talked about his exam experiences with Hazel Forest the whole day, blinking his eyes expectantly afterward, waiting for Hazel's praise.
Hazel Forest sighed, lifted his eyelids, and patted his head, "Impressive."
"Uh-huh~" Wayne Don placed a piece of meat for him, "Thank you, uncle, for the compliment!"
Violet Don watched the two interacting non-stop and suddenly felt as if she were mistaken that this was indeed a family gathering.
