Violet Don most likely hadn't expected to encounter Grayson Sutton, as she stared at him for a long while before delivering a very cold line, "Are you following me?"
Grayson Sutton, smiling, slightly raised his eyebrows, "You guess."
The answer was self-evident.
Violet Don didn't say anything, and she stood there for a long time, until the sound of rain gradually grew denser. She saw the wet patch slowly spreading over one side of Sutton's shoulder.
She said, "Don't ever appear in my life again."
Grayson narrowed his eyes, smiling, "What if I say no?"
Violet answered, "If I'm alive, and you are certain to find me, then likely only in death can I escape your entanglement."
Grayson hissed, then his voice dropped, "Violet Don, you've become more ruthless."
Violet fell silent again, then turned away, deliberately leaving the protection of the umbrella Grayson Sutton had held over her head.
