Violet Don sat on a bench downstairs at the hospital, and when Grayson Sutton came down, she stood up as well. "How are Uncle and Aunt?"
"Aunt has woken up."
Grayson Sutton tidied Violet Don's hair. "That's good, from now on, the Bates family is completely unrelated to you."
Violet Don merely responded blandly, lost in thoughts unknown to anyone.
Grayson Sutton drove Violet Don home, and when they arrived, Wayne Don answered the door. Seeing Grayson Sutton standing outside, he was a bit pleasantly surprised. "Uncle Sutton is here?"
Grayson Sutton smiled, "Yes, am I welcomed?"
"Welcome!"
Wayne's mood finally eased a little, and he went to see his mother, "Mommy, what do they say about the Bates family?"
Violet Don hadn't yet told Wayne about Noah Bates's passing; conveying this news had already exhausted all her courage.
That man, who spoke cruelly to her, ridiculed, and oppressed her, was no longer in this world. Shouldn't she be relaxed?
