Mother-in-law returned from the art exhibition and specifically bought a fertility painting symbolizing abundance of children and blessings to place in the grand living room of my marital home.
Every day I look at it, my mood grows increasingly worse.
After all, Henry Smith doesn't allow me to get pregnant, and I have difficulty conceiving. This only intensifies my anxiety and makes me feel very ironic.
Despite taking many medicines to regulate my body, they don't seem to have much effect.
"Mrs. Thompson, please help me move this painting to the storage room," I called the housekeeper to take the painting away.
Mrs. Thompson verbally agreed, but turned around to call and consult my mother-in-law.
Mother-in-law quickly reprimanded me on FaceTime.
"Flora, Mom bought this painting for you with good intentions. How can you dislike it so much?"
"Our Smith family has such a large estate. How can we not have an heir to inherit it?"
