Seraphina happened to overhear the conversation about spiking the drinks.
As fate would have it, Henry Smith heard it too.
He had emerged at some unknown time, silently standing at the corner of the ballroom entrance, his face clouded with an extremely gloomy expression.
Seraphina trembled with fear, on the verge of tears: "Brother Henry, let me explain. It's not what you think..."
Henry Smith didn't listen to her explanation.
It seemed that the truth didn't matter much to him.
Seraphina watched him return to the ballroom and smirked triumphantly: "You see, Estrella? Brother Henry doesn't blame me at all. He still cares for me the most!"
"Is that so? I didn't notice," I didn't hesitate to rain on her parade. "All I know is that he makes me feel pain every day. You surely haven't experienced that."
It took Seraphina a long while to process this, then she stomped her feet in a rage, throwing a fit on the spot.
