'Beep beep!'

"413!"

The number flickered on the scouter, causing Prince Vegata's pupils to involuntarily contract. For the first time, a look of shock crossed his face.

Something seemed to click in his mind, and he quickly adjusted his scouter before turning his gaze toward Nappa.

"503!"

The familiar number appeared again.

Prince Vegata then looked back at Raditz.

'Beep beep!'

"413!"

The number flickered once more, still showing the same value.

"Indeed, it's 400 points!"

"Is it Bardock?" Prince Vegata muttered to himself, his mind racing.

He knew that Raditz's father was the legendary Saiyan warrior Bardock, who, despite being a low-class warrior, had a battle power nearly on par with King Vegata, his own father.

Prince Vegata recalled that a year ago, Bardock had requested a year's leave for Raditz from King Vegata, and he was aware of it.

However, he hadn't expected Raditz's strength to increase so significantly in just one year, almost matching Nappa's.

It's important to note that while Raditz was classified as an elite warrior, he wasn't particularly outstanding compared to others in that category. He was closer to the lower end of elite warriors.

In the Saiyan ranking system for babies, anyone with a battle power under 30 was considered a low-class warrior. From 30 to 100 was a mid-level warrior, and anything above 100 was deemed an elite warrior.

Raditz had originally been born with a battle power of around 170.

At this level, it was generally expected that he would reach around 3,000 after maturing.

But now, he had already reached 400, which was almost on par with Nappa, a true elite warrior. In the future, he could possibly grow to 5,000 or even 6,000 battle power.

At that moment, Prince Vegata, who had previously been indifferent, felt a stir of interest.

If Raditz was going to top out at 3,000 battle power, Prince Vegata wouldn't have cared much. But if he could surpass 5,000 or 6,000, it would give Prince Vegata a significant advantage in conquering other planets and solidifying his control over Planet Vegata in the future.

"Raditz, you're asking for death!" Nappa roared, his eyes blazing with fury as an overwhelming aura erupted from his body.

Nappa was enraged; he had just been knocked away by Raditz, whom he had always looked down upon.

Anger clouded his judgment.

"Nappa, stop!" Prince Vegata's cold voice rang out before Nappa could take action.

"Prince Vegata!"

The sudden words made Nappa freeze in shock. He halted midair, staring at Prince Vegata in disbelief.

"You piece of trash. Raditz only has 400 battle power, and you, with your 500 battle power, can't even defeat him?" Prince Vegata snorted coldly.

He then ignored Nappa and walked toward Raditz.

"Prince Vegata!"

Seeing Prince Vegata approach, Raditz's earlier pride and excitement turned into nervousness. He instinctively spoke.

"Raditz, it seems your father trained you well."

"I only gave you a chance before because of your father, but now you've truly earned the right to join my squad, though you're only eligible."

"Prepare yourself. Three days from now, we're heading out. Our mission is to conquer a mid-level planet." Prince Vegata spoke calmly.

"I understand, Prince Vegata," Raditz quickly replied.

Prince Vegata nodded and then turned, walking off into the distance.

"Prince Vegata!" Nappa instinctively called out, casting an angry glance at Raditz before quickly following Prince Vegata.

Throughout the entire exchange, neither Prince Vegata nor Nappa even glanced at Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen smiled, not paying too much attention to the unfolding drama.

He waited for the two to leave before stepping forward.

"How is it?" Jiang Chen asked with a smile.

He wasn't surprised that Raditz was able to defeat Nappa.

Even though Nappa had a battle power of 500, the issue was that he might not have been able to fully exert that power, which was a significant problem.

Moreover, Raditz had been learning and training under Jiang Chen for a while. Even though it was only the basics, the increase in battle power was real.

It was no wonder Nappa, the brute, had been defeated.

"Hahaha, Nappa is no match for me anymore!" Raditz exclaimed, excitement bubbling within him as he recovered from his daze.

Joining Prince Vegata's squad had always been a dream for Raditz, but he had been constantly overlooked and bullied by Nappa, who had always pressed him down. As the one with the lowest battle power, Raditz had felt almost invisible.

But now, he had actually defeated Nappa, a prestigious elite warrior, a figure that Raditz had always seen as an insurmountable challenge. Yet, at this moment, he had easily overcome him.

"What's so surprising? Bardock's battle power is close to King Vegata's. He surpassed many elite warriors," Jiang Chen said, smiling at Raditz's excitement.

Raditz's expression froze upon hearing Jiang Chen's words.

"Hahaha, alright, alright!" Jiang Chen chuckled.

"Let's go. Aunt Gine must have finished cooking. Let's head back and have a big meal."

Jiang Chen's smile grew even brighter as he patted Raditz on the shoulder.

In the next moment, his figure soared into the air.

Raditz twitched his mouth but followed closely behind.

In the year spent training with Jiang Chen, Raditz had undergone noticeable changes.

Although his personality hadn't yet fully shifted to a negative one, Jiang Chen had forcefully pulled him back from that path.

Maybe in the future, Raditz would change more, but at least at this moment, he was heading in a better direction.

This was also the reason why his battle power had increased so significantly over the past year.

Fifteen minutes later, the two of them returned to Gine's house.

Gine had already prepared the meal.

As Jiang Chen and Raditz's battle power increased, so did their appetite.

Fortunately, Bardock, as a Saiyan elite warrior and currently the second strongest after King Vegata, provided ample contributions to Gine's household.

"Yeah, Dad asked for a one-year leave, and now that time is up," Raditz replied softly.

"Okay, I understand!" Gine said, a bit hurriedly.

"Just be careful and don't try to be too brave. You'll be with Prince Vegata."

"Mm-hmm!" Raditz nodded.
