"Gine Oba San, um, I was wondering if I could take Goku to my house to play. Is that okay?" Bulma spoke softly at the dining table.
"To West City?" Gine was momentarily stunned, then smiled and replied, "Of course, Bulma!"
"Thank you, Gine Oba San." Bulma quickly expressed her gratitude in a sweet tone.
"Oh, child, no need to thank me! Goku will be in your care, so please look after him."
Gine smiled and turned to Son Goku, giving him instructions. "Goku, remember to listen to Bulma and don't cause any trouble."
Having interacted with Bulma frequently, Gine had grown quite fond of her.
"Yes, Mom!" Son Goku nodded enthusiastically.
Later, after lunch, Son Goku rode the Flying Nimbus while Bulma boarded her spaceship, and they left Mount Paozu.
"Where are we going now?" In mid-air, Son Goku looked at Bulma curiously.
"I'm heading to the mountain range on the right side of Mount Paozu. It seems like one of the Dragon Balls is located there." Bulma opened her Dragon Ball scouter and spoke excitedly.
"Okay!" Son Goku nodded, then rode the Flying Nimbus alongside Bulma toward the mountain range on the right side of Mount Paozu.
Just like in the original story, their journey to find the Dragon Balls had begun.
However, unlike the original, Son Goku was not yet ten years old; he was only just nine, a year younger than in the original timeline.
And the plot had subtly changed.
They did not encounter Yamcha.
Son Goku's strength far exceeded what it was in the original story.
Everything naturally went more smoothly.
…
Planet Yardrat.
In a strange space, a massive figure appeared. Its enormous size was as tall as four or five stories.
At the same time, an extremely unstable and violent aura spread.
A moment later, the massive figure gradually shrank, and Jiang Chen's form reappeared.
Several years had passed and his physique had hardly changed.
Saiyan bodies typically undergo significant changes after the age of sixteen, so he still looked much the same as before.
His height also remained unchanged.
"Phew!" Exhaling a breath of stale air, a smile appeared on Jiang Chen's face.
After several years, he had finally completed the final step of his training.
Although his giant form was still not perfect, and he could only increase his size by about ten times, with his Battle Power increasing only twofold.
Nevertheless, he had finally learned how to expand his Spirit.
"Guest, congratulations on mastering the expansion. The next step is to further control your Spirit. Only with sufficient control can you expand further."
Beside him, Spirit spoke with a smile.
"Thank you!" Jiang Chen took a deep breath, then bowed slightly to Spirit in gratitude.
During his time on Planet Yardrat, his strength had not increased dramatically. His Battle Power had only just reached 130,000, less than doubling over the years. However, the gains he had made were beyond what he had initially expected.
He had not only mastered the "skill" of Teleportation.
He had also learned Spirit Splitting and Spirit Growing.
The former was undoubtedly useful, allowing him to easily deal with many fused enemies. Theoretically, he could even separate Gogeta and Vegetto, not to mention Cell and Majin Buu.
Moreover, it wasn't just applicable in the Dragon Ball world. In the real world and other dimensions, he could also separate fused beings.
The latter was even more useful.
Saiyans could indeed achieve a tenfold increase in Battle Power through Great Ape transformation.
However, the Great Ape form had significant drawbacks. For one, it was difficult to maintain rationality during the transformation. Although he had overcome this through a wish with Shenron, he couldn't overcome the Saiyan tail effect.
No matter how strong he was, if his tail was cut, he would revert to his original form and become weakened. Even if his tail wasn't cut, someone releasing Blutz Waves could still force him to transform.
No matter how strong he was, unless he killed his opponent immediately, there was always a risk of failure.
The giant form, however, did not have such drawbacks.
Currently, his giant form could only increase his Battle Power by twofold. But this was just the beginning. As he gained better control over his Spirit, the increase could be more than twofold.
Fivefold, tenfold, or even higher were all possible.
Theoretically, like the Kaiōken, there was almost no upper limit to expansion and the only limits were his control and whether his body could withstand it.
After all, the giant form was achieved by expanding energy.
Without sufficient control over Spirit and a strong enough body, one wrong move could lead not to giant form, but to self-destruction.
"Guest, you are too kind!" Hearing Jiang Chen's thanks, Spirit quickly responded.
"Regardless, I am very grateful. Is the Great Elder available? I have been on Planet Yardrat for quite some time and should not overstay my welcome. I would like to bid farewell to the Great Elder." Hearing Spirit's words, Jiang Chen smiled, and then his expression turned serious.
"He is here! Guest, please follow me!" Spirit was momentarily stunned, then nodded and led Jiang Chen out of the space.
A moment later, under Spirit's guidance, Jiang Chen once again entered the Great Elder's room.
"Guest, are you leaving?" The Great Elder looked at the figure entering and spoke in a gentle voice.
"Yes, Great Elder. I have been here for quite some time and have benefited greatly, but it is time for me to leave. Thank you for your care during this time." Jiang Chen bowed slightly as he spoke.
"Guest, you are too polite. How about this? I will have Spirit prepare some supplies for you, and you can leave tomorrow?" The Great Elder smiled and nodded, then looked at Jiang Chen inquiringly.
"Thank you, Great Elder." Jiang Chen was somewhat surprised, but after thinking about it, he did not refuse and agreed.
The day passed quickly.
A day later, as the Yadratians watched, Jiang Chen's spaceship soared into the sky.
It left Planet Yardrat and headed straight for Earth.
Like Son Goku, who had just finished his training, Jiang Chen's Teleportation was not yet capable of taking him directly from Planet Yardrat to Earth.
So he had to rely on his spaceship.
As for going elsewhere, he had previously considered visiting Planet Metamor, the source of Son Goku's Fusion technique. Mastering it would be quite useful for him.
But after some thought, he decided against it.
The Fusion technique, while useful, was not as crucial as he had initially thought, especially since he already had Giant Form and Splitting techniques.
Moreover, he didn't know the location of Planet Metamor.
Unless he went to Namek and used the Dragon Balls.
But that would be too troublesome.
Instead, he decided to return to Earth.
On Earth, there was the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and the path to the Kaiō.
The Kaiō had many good things.
Such as the Kaiōken and the Genki-Dama.
And higher-level martial arts training, all of which would be of great help to him.
Of course, the more important reason was that he wanted to check on the Saiyans on Earth. If the situation was suitable, he was already considering the path to becoming a Saiyan God.
After all, compared to the still unreliable Super Saiyan, becoming a Saiyan God was the fastest way to gain strength quickly.
It was also his best chance to defeat Frieza in the short term.
'Boom.'
The massive spaceship soared into the sky. It quickly headed toward Earth.
