Chapter 49 I have never really committed suicide

Yolanda Greenwood had breakfast the next day and then went to the hospital.

No matter what, Gemma Morgan had always been flawless towards Melissa.

"Eldest Aunt, how are you feeling?"

Yolanda asked about Gemma's illness, but Gemma always said it was nothing, even though she hadn't been discharged from the hospital for so long.

"It's nothing serious."

Gemma tugged at the corner of her mouth, her eyes reddening instantly as she looked at Yolanda's bandaged right wrist.

"Come here, let the Eldest Aunt take a look at your hand."

She sniffled, trying to control her emotions.

"It doesn't hurt anymore."

Yolanda obediently moved closer and placed her right hand in Gemma's.

"The stitches can be removed in a few days."

She said with a smile, the compassion in Gemma's eyes making her feel uneasy.

If only Gemma had been her mother... how wonderful that would have been.

"What did the doctor say? Will it affect your future life?"

"No," Yolanda shook her head.
