Chapter 109: Incessant Bickering with a Bunch of Kids

"Sister Yolanda, Sister Yolanda," Little Maria tugged at Yolanda Greenwood's trousers, teary-eyed, "Please, think of a way to help them. Edmund really likes that kite."

"It's okay." Edmund, who had been staring intently at the kite just a second earlier, quickly ran to Little Maria. "It's okay, when I grow up, I'll buy a bigger and prettier kite myself."

He wiped away Little Maria's tears. "Maria, you shouldn't cry. Crying doesn't make you pretty."

Yolanda Greenwood was slightly moved as she looked at the two children. She looked up at the kite, thinking someone should be able to reach it.

She crouched down and pointed to Cooper Coldson not far away, "That man over there should be able to get it down. Let's ask him for help."

To her surprise, Little Maria immediately hid behind Yolanda Greenwood. "No, he's scary."

"I'll go, I'm not scared!" Edmund declared, clearly still very fond of the kite.
