Chapter 179: Eyes on the Scissors on the Table

After getting into the car, Ethan Taylor sounded somewhat impatient, "Why are you so slow?"

Lola Gold furrowed her brows and patiently explained, "I just ran into a jerk, and I'm sorry for making you wait."

"Jerk?" Ethan started the car, "Why didn't you call me? I could have gone in and taught him a lesson."

"It's fine, I took care of it." After all, their path ahead was unclear, and Lola didn't want him to know where she actually lived.

The two of them went straight to the amusement park and spent the day there, but Lola always felt like Ethan's heart wasn't in it.

She vaguely felt that Ethan wasn't accompanying her willingly, so on the ride back, she talked about her situation with Christopher Coldson.

"Brother Ethan," she forced a smile, "actually, I should have clarified these things the first time we met, it's just..."
