Cooper Coldson returned to the hospital room, and Melissa Greenwood was visibly delighted.
"Cooper, you're back," she looked at Cooper Coldson longingly, wanting him to come over and sit by her bed.
However, Cooper sat down in front of some documents instead.
While flipping through the files, he asked carelessly, "How do you feel? Is this Dr. Spencer professional enough?"
Melissa was taken aback, clearly not expecting Cooper to start by asking about Samuel Spencer's professionalism—was it because Samuel had mentioned marriage?
She answered cautiously, "I suppose it's okay; every time I talk to him, I feel like my heart isn't as lifeless anymore."
"That's good then." Cooper Coldson continued working, still not bringing up the topic of marriage.
Melissa clenched her teeth in frustration. She didn't know what Cooper meant. Did he not want to marry her anymore?
It seemed she had to push Jaxon Greenwood to hurry things along.
