The next day, when Yolanda Greenwood woke up, she saw Cooper Coldson sitting by the bed.
For a moment, she thought she was still dreaming. Her face was full of disbelief, and her gaze toward Cooper was mixed with a myriad of emotions.
"Yolanda," Cooper noticed that something was off about her expression, so he called out her name.
Sure enough, Yolanda's eyes quickly focused, and she woke up completely. She struggled to get up, "You..."
"Don't move!" Cooper's face darkened, and he pressed Yolanda's shoulders with both hands.
This woman truly was just as those three people had said—waking up only to go mad immediately. His displeased voice rang out, "Don't move. Let's just talk like this."
The excitement in Yolanda's eyes gradually subsided. Indeed, she had woken up to confront Cooper and ask him questions. Now that Cooper was here, she could ask.
So, she nodded lightly, her gaze appearing somewhat pitiable.
Cooper released his hands and sat back down.
