It was almost midnight. The room was dimly lit, with a faint glow from a single candle.

Delilah sat at her desk, a notebook in front of her. A deep frown spread across her face as she stared at the page.

"These New Year's goals seem easy to achieve, right?" she mumbled, running her fingers over the words she had written.

Before she could continue writing, a voice broke the silence.

"New Year's goals, huh?" The voice was deep and curious.

Delilah jumped in her chair. She turned around quickly and sighed in relief when she saw it was just Vin, leaning against the doorway with his usual smirk.

"That was cute." He teased her, a grin forming on his face.

"You scared me!" she exclaimed, her cheeks puffing out slightly. "And yes, they're New Year's goals," she added, looking back at her notebook with a slight pout.

Vin chuckled and walked closer. "They look tough. Are you sure you can handle them, princess?"

"They're not that bad!" Delilah shot back, crossing her arms. Then her face lit up. "Oh, I heard it might snow at midnight!"

Vin raised an eyebrow, now standing beside her desk. "Is that so? You know, there's a rumor. If you have your first kiss while it's snowing, whatever you wish for will come true." His voice softened, and he leaned closer, his lips curling into a small smile.

Delilah's cheeks turned pink as she laughed nervously. "That's... interesting. Well, I hope it's true! There's only six minutes left until midnight."

Vin's smile faded slightly as he looked at her thoughtfully.

"Delilah," he said after a pause, his tone serious, "have you ever wondered what my real name is?"

She blinked in surprise. "Not really. I thought Vin was your real name."

He chuckled quietly. "Far from it. Let me tell you. It's E—"

Before he could finish, a strong gust of wind swept through the room, snuffing out the candle. The sudden darkness made Delilah gasp.

"What was that?" she asked, her voice uneasy.

Vin stepped closer to her, his face calm. "Does it matter?" he said softly.

"E what...?" she asked again, tilting her head. Then she glanced at the clock and smiled. "Wait! It's almost midnight—just two more minutes!"

Vin's expression changed. His playful smirk faded, replaced by something more intense. "Delilah," he said in a low voice, "it doesn't matter if you know my name or not."

Before she could react, he reached out and gently pulled her closer, pressing her back against the wall.

"Delilah," he said again, his voice softer now.

His purple hair danced in the wind as the two stood silently, the tension between them growing.

The clock struck twelve.

"Happy New Year, my princess," Vin whispered, closing the distance between them. He kissed her, their lips meeting as the first snowflakes began to fall outside the window.
