"Ah Li..."
The phone rang once and connected, the urgent, magnetic voice on the other end said, "I really know I was wrong, can you stop being mad at me?"
"Fine. I'll forgive you this time, reluctantly, but it's up to your future behavior."
"Okay... Ah Li, I miss you!"
Quick to act, Ye Li pressed the speakerphone off, her cheeks blushing as she threw Lu Xiaoxiao a look that said, "See, I told you it was just a little misunderstanding."
Giving a thumbs-up, Lu Xiaoxiao, feeling relieved, put on her headphones and started listening to her audiotapes.
Ye Li took her phone and curled up on the bean bag.
"Ah Li, it's Friday tomorrow, can I come pick you up?"
"No. If I said I'm not going home, then I'm not going home. Since I was young, my parents taught me the importance of keeping my word and being honest. Once words are out of your mouth, they can't be taken back."
