Chapter 8: She Really Enjoys Taking Care of People

Besides, she still didn't know whether the apartment at Xinghe Bank had a mortgage or not. If there was a mortgage, a house worth over ten million probably had to pay back thirty to forty thousand a month.

She must change Mo Xun's spendthrift habits!

"299 yuan is really expensive." Tang Zhiluo said seriously: "If you don't manage the household, you don't know the cost of living. Wanting to buy everything, the living expenses will be used up in no time."

"Just tell me if it's used up, and I'll give you more." Mo Xun said indifferently.

Tang Zhiluo's heart warmed for a moment and she said in a low voice: "Even if you have money, you can't squander it like this. Money should be saved and used where it's needed most."

Mo Xun couldn't understand this kind of small-minded thinking; he didn't listen to Tang Zhiluo and put the box of cherries into the shopping cart anyway.

Tang Zhiluo tried to take it out but was glared at by Mo Xun, "Try taking it out again?"

Tang Zhiluo didn't dare.

Her husband was quite scary when he was fierce!

After shopping, Tang Zhiluo reluctantly paid with her phone. A trip to the supermarket cost seven hundred yuan, of which the cherries accounted for three hundred.

Back at Xinghe Bank, Mo Xun carried the rice and cherries inside, and Tang Zhiluo took the rest.

Tang Zhiluo put on an apron in the kitchen and skillfully prepared the vegetables.

Mo Xun went to the master bedroom to get the divorce agreement.

Just as he picked it up, the phone rang; it was Mo Xun's good friend.

Mo Xun put the agreement down again, walked to the balcony to take the call, "Hello."

"Hey, you're back in the country? Come out for a drink tonight." His good friend, Lu Zhihan, invited Mo Xun out.

"Busy tonight, will see."

There were several pots of vegetables cultivated on the balcony.

Mo Xun glanced at them, Tang Zhiluo grew chili peppers and tomatoes, the rest were lush green, not recognizable at a glance.

They were well-maintained, somewhat like ornamental plants, neatly arranged, making the otherwise empty balcony lively and green.

Mo Xun hung up the phone and went back inside.

Tang Zhiluo, with her back to him, was cutting vegetables in the kitchen.

The bustling noise, the feeling of home warmth.

"Mo Xun, boil a pot of water for me." Tang Zhiluo called out from the kitchen, her husband was home, so he had to do some work!

Otherwise, he would never develop a sense of doing household chores, so she must cultivate him to be a good man!

"Isn't the water from the purifier okay?" Mo Xun came to his senses; he had actually been spacing out looking at her silhouette.

"That won't do, the purifier water is only 40 degrees, I need boiling water for cooking the soup."

Mo Xun took the kettle and filled it with some water from the kitchen.

Tang Zhiluo was slicing cucumber, she took a piece and chewed it crisply, a bright smile on her face.

Mo Xun found her a bit silly, but somehow cute.

Just wait for her to finish cooking.

Enjoy this last bit of warmth, and then divorce.

Mo Xun boiled the water and returned to ask her, "Need any help with anything else?"

Tang Zhiluo found Mo Xun quite considerate. Knowing to help with the housework as soon as he's home is much better than many men who just lay down playing with their phones!

Her eyes curled like crescent moons, "Then help me with cutting vegetables?"

"..." Mo Xun looked at the potatoes on the cutting board, troubled; he had never done it before. "I don't know how."

"Then you should learn." Tang Zhiluo pushed the kitchen knife over to him.

Mo Xun inwardly sighed, took the knife, and awkwardly started cutting.

Tang Zhiluo secretly covered her mouth and laughed beside him.

Although Mo Xun was not very good at cutting, she didn't want to criticize him. Everyone is not born skilled, and practice would make perfect.

After he learns, he would be able to help cook together!

Thinking about cooking together every day, it feels quite warm...

Tang Zhiluo closed the kitchen's glass door, skillfully started frying fish; soon, the braised fish was ready. "Mo Xun, please get me a plate."

"Where is the plate?"

"Inside the dishwasher next to your legs."

Mo Xun pulled it open, seeing all the dishes inside still damp, "What's wrong? Is the dishwasher broken? The dishes aren't dry."

"..." Tang Zhiluo's face reddened slightly, awkwardly replying: "Erm... no, I just don't know how to use the dishwasher."

She felt like a bumpkin.

There was a dishwasher at home, but she didn't know how to use it, so for these three months, she had been washing by hand.

But usually, it's only her eating, so there weren't many dishes.

"..." Mo Xun was slightly speechless, "Dry them now?"

"Let's not, it's already past eight, drying might not finish quickly, we will make do with them for tonight."

Mo Xun frowned; he was a germaphobe and wasn't comfortable with dishes that hadn't been sterilized.

Tang Zhiluo said, "If you feel uneasy with them being damp, you could scald them with boiling water."

Mo Xun actually did that.

Tang Zhiluo looked at him, somewhat speechless.

His own wife, what is there to despise? What a peculiar man.

Tang Zhiluo prepared three dishes and one soup, the house filled with delicious fragrances.

"Time to eat!" Tang Zhiluo called out, intending to serve Mo Xun rice, but then discovered there was no rice in the cooker.

She forgot to cook the rice!!!

Tang Zhiluo felt a bit embarrassed, "Sorry Mo Xun, I forgot to cook the rice."

Mo Xun confirmed to himself, this is a silly woman!

"Let's have soup." Mo Xun was hungry and didn't want to wait for rice.

"Okay." Tang Zhiluo served him the soup, picking out the big chicken leg into his bowl, filling it with broth.

Mo Xun noticed she really enjoyed taking care of others.

He didn't have a towel this morning, and she immediately remembered, buying one for him in the evening.

It seemed like she was accustomed to giving the best to others. The washed cherries were also placed next to him; despite looking greedily at them in the supermarket, she hadn't eaten a single one after coming home.

"Do you like taking care of others?" Mo Xun was surprised by the taste after a sip of soup. It was delicious.

Discreetly, Mo Xun pushed the cherries towards her.

Tang Zhiluo noticed his action and felt warmth in her heart, smiling and saying, "Seems so."

Because at her home, boys were favored over girls.

From a young age, her parents asked her to yield, saying her brother was the pillar of the family, everything had to be given way to him.

If chicken soup was cooked at home, Tang Zhiluo wouldn't think of picking up a chicken leg.

She knew it wasn't her share, and if she did it, her father would surely roll his eyes and say, girls shouldn't be so greedy!

Growing up in such a family environment, Tang Zhiluo, often criticized, would rather go without than be dismissed.

This was also the reason she was grateful to Mo Xun.

Kicked out of her house without a penny to her name, wandering the streets, Mo Xun said, "How about marrying me?"

He was so handsome, saying those words in the car, he seemed like a deity descending from the skies, rescuing her from despair.

Tang Zhiluo felt immense gratitude.

The man who gave her a home, she instinctively wanted to be good to him.

"Perhaps I have a bit of a giving personality." Tang Zhiluo admitted cheerfully while eating a piece of fish.
