It's Bai Su.
She's back.
Mu Chenxi's eyes were slightly warm as she saw Bai Su, feeling as if several lifetimes had passed.
She quickened her pace and, a few steps away, softly called out Bai Su's nickname, "Susu."
Bai Su, upon hearing Mu Chenxi's voice, immediately hung up the phone with her husband and turned around excitedly, "Chenxi—"
Her bright, radiant smile froze on her face the moment she saw Mu Chenxi.
Is this... Chenxi?
Her shocked gaze fell on Mu Chenxi's now flat abdomen.
Counting the months, the child shouldn't have been born so early.
"Where's the child?"
The words slipped out, carrying her concern.
"It's gone."
Mu Chenxi whispered softly.
Shock deepened in Bai Su's eyes; Chenxi loved children so much and had wanted to bear a child for Fu Yanshen, surely she wouldn't have terminated the pregnancy.
It must have been Fu Yanshen's doing.
"It wasn't him."
Mu Chenxi spoke again.
People really do change quickly.
