After all the fun and commotion, it was time for dinner. After a lively meal, Jinchen was picking his teeth, casually saying to Yu Xiao'ai, "Hey! Darkie, want to go beachcombing with me?"
Yu Xiao'ai responded unhappily, "How many times do I have to tell you, don't call me Darkie!"
"Are you coming or not? Darkie." Jinchen, with a mischievous smile, asked again.
Yu Xiao'ai, helpless, said, "Well, let's go then. Lucas, are you coming?"
"I'm not going. I've been playing all day, and Uncle Han wants me to do my homework tonight." Lucas shrugged like a little adult, his face showing resignation.
Yu Xiao'ai took Lucas's little bucket and shovel and followed Jinchen to the beach.
In the evening, there were fewer people by the seaside, and the setting sun cast an orange glow on the beach.
Wearing a sunhat and carrying the little bucket, Yu Xiao'ai asked Jinchen, "I heard there are lots of little fish and shrimp after the tide goes out, where should we catch them?"
