In the afternoon, Zhang Yi and Yu Zhenghong busied themselves in the kitchen, preparing a lavish dinner. It wasn't because of Guo Jinchen's visit, but simply because the meal was for their beloved daughter. They hadn't seen her in weeks, and though they always spoke in tones of blame and complaint, their hearts still missed her deeply.
"Xiao'ai, come out for dinner," Yu Zhenghong called softly from the doorway of the room.
Yu Xiao'ai was napping lightly inside, letting out a faint murmur in response.
Yu Zhenghong turned around and noticed Guo Jinchen sprawled out in the living room, sleeping soundly with Xiao Ba snuggled in his arms, his snores resonating through the room. After watching him for a moment, he eventually went over to wake him up.
"Guo Jinchen, get up for dinner."
Guo Jinchen was likely very tired and did not wake up. Yu Zhenghong gave him a gentle shake and called his name once more.
"Dear, come scoop out the ribs," Zhang Yi called from the kitchen.
